Isolation of some compounds from the cellular metabolism for testing
The identification of some plant species to isolate the active principles with biological effects on the human and animal metabolism; the aim is to test these compounds with this in view to identify the most valuable therapeutic and economical ones.
The study has been materialized in the CEEX Project nr, 15 / 3.10.2005 -The characterization of some fungal and plant bioactive principles with cytostatical, immunomodulatorical, metabolical and neurotropical action and their utilization in the functional alimentation, in 2005-2006. There were identified 2 plant species in this study, namely, Eryngium planum and Fagus sylvatica whose metabolits have presented immunostimulatory effects.
At present, we are studying the insecticide effects of some total extracts derived from 5 plant species belonging to the local spontaneous flora.
